Where it is mutually agreeable, training can be completed on a fixed-fee basis (meaning that you know exactly what you’ll pay before we start work).

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF)

• We develop policies, procedures and risk assessments that are customized to your business operations and processes.
• We conduct AML Compliance Effectiveness Reviews and can assist you in preparing a plan to address any issues noted in the review report.
• We design and conduct training sessions (in person or online) that are tailored to your business model and employee functions.
• We assist Canadian reporting entities in preparing data for regulatory examinations, submitting information packages to regulators and preparing plans to correct any deficiencies that have been recorded by the regulator.
• Working with expert law firms, we assist in appealing regulatory findings where our clients believe that the findings are not well founded.

Retail Payments

• We develop policies and procedures for Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to ensure compliance with operational risk management standards under the Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA) and its associated regulations.
• We assist PSPs with Bank of Canada registration required under the RPAA.

Privacy

• We design privacy policies, statements and processes to suit your business needs and to ensure compliance with privacy obligations which include:
  • The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA);
  • Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL); and
  • National Do Not Call (NDNCL).
• We review existing processes and plans to identify potential privacy issues and suggest practical solutions to meet your business needs.

Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM)

• We develop policies, procedures to ensure compliance with OSFI Guideline E-13 sets that set out expectations for financial institutions with respect to the management of regulatory compliance risk inherent of business activities enterprise-wide.
• We conduct control mapping and develop control testing plans based on your business model and relevant legislative requirements.
• We conduct reviews to assess your current policy and procedures to ensure compliance with Guideline E-13.
• We design and conduct training sessions (in person or online) that are tailored to your business model and employee functions as it relates to OSFI Guideline E-13.
• We advise software developers on compliance-related requirements in the design phase of software development.

Technology Selection, Design & Implementation

• We review and test software designed to meet Canadian compliance requirements and identify potential gaps and areas for improvement.
• We advise software developers on compliance-related requirements in the design phase of software development.
• We advise our clients on considerations related to software implementation (though we do not provide technical implementation support at this time).
